श्रेष्ठ पुरुष

यद्यदाचरति श्रेष्ठस्तत्तदेवेतरो जन:।

स यत्प्रमाणं कुरुते लोकस्तदनुवर्तते॥

yadyadaacharati 

shreshthastattadevetaro jan

sa yatpramaanan kurute 

lokastadanuvartate.

अर्थ

श्रेष्ठ पुरुष जैसा आचरण या काम करते हैं, आम इंसान यानी दूसरे मनुष्य भी  वैसा ही कम या आचरण करने लगते हैं। श्रेष्ठ पुरुष जिस उदाहरण या प्रमाण की प्रस्तुति करते हैं, समस्त मानव-समुदाय उसी का अनुसरण करने लग जाते हैं।

व्याख्या

यह भगवद् गीता से लिया गया अध्याय 3 का श्लोक 21 है। इसमें भगवान श्री कृष्ण ने श्रेष्ठ पुरुष के कर्तव्य के बारे मे वर्णन किया है।

उदाहरण

फिल्मों के नायक, राजनीतिक हस्तियां और कई तरह के सामाजिक प्रभावक लोगों की आकांक्षाओं पर काफी प्रभाव डालते हैं। नतीजतन, लोग अक्सर उनके व्यवहार का अनुकरण करते हैं। जबकि फिल्म निर्माता यह तर्क दे सकते हैं कि वे वास्तविकता और सामाजिक आकांक्षाओं को दर्शा रहे हैं, लेकिन वास्तविकता यह है कि वे समाज पर गहरा प्रभाव डालते हैं।

Meaning

The way a great man behaves or works, other people also  behave or work in the same manner. Whatever the example or the proof a great man presents, the entire human community starts following it.

Description

This verse is taken from Bhagavad Gita (3:21). In this verse, Shri Krishna explains about the role of a great man or a leader. Ordinary people always need a leader who can educate them through practical conduct. If a leader himself smokes, he cannot teach the public to stop smoking.

Example

Film protagonists, political figures, and a variety of social influencers wield considerable influence over people's aspirations. Consequently, individuals often emulate their behavior. While filmmakers may argue that they are depicting reality and societal aspirations, the reality is that they profoundly impact society.
